January is already coming to a close for the MadFind media insider and doing an overview of what was said and heard makes the process of understanding easier. A big reason I keep this blog is to reflect on the large amounts of content I write. And now is the time to reflect on my reflections. I wrapped up the Spain and Italy series from the trip I took in September 2021. I read about changing my diet to include anything and everything, even the non Keto friendly carb. And I watched a number of throwback movies. I invite the MadFind media insider take take this opportunity to reflect on the recap along with me.
Movies for the MadFind Media Insider
Of the movies that appeared on MadFind, Don’t Look Up is the biggest one of the current times. This is the political movie that comments on how big important decisions are made. But if considering a classic, East of Eden with James Dean would need to sit pretty high in my list of classic movies, but none as high as Jurassic Park, the ultimate dinosaur movie and action movie from the 90s.
Or if prefered, read East of Eden first.
Spain and Italy Series
In September, I spent a little less than a month wandering around Spain and Italy. The intention was never to write about it, but although I am not a travel blogger, I would not mind if one day I become one. This is the start of the Spain and Italy Series, covering the planning of the trip and each of the cities I visited including Barcelona, the historical Naples, the luxury of Capri, and Amalfi Coast.
Chick Lit For The MadFind Media Insider
Going longer than a few weeks without reading a Chick Lit book is near impossible for me and other MadFind media insiders. There is tons of Chick Lit novels released every year and I find many of them added to my “to read” list with easy accessibility. The covers show up again and again and I always end up caving. For me, January was Yes, No, Maybe So and In Five Years.
The Biggest Series on Television Right Now
There was not one big series I wrote about. There was not two. But three series that the whole world (it seems) is talking about. I started with Station Eleven, the post apocalyptic world due to a flu outbreak. The book was better but the series is still worth the watch and with the current situation, it hit a little too close to home. Onto Yellowjackets where daylight is a must when watching this creepy movie in order to hold nightmares off. This is the Lord of the Rings meets scary movie meets a girls teenage soccer team. And no one is as cruel as teenage girls. I know, I used to be one. And finally onto the competitive world of Cheer where these insane athletes taught us that cheer is not about glamour but about authentic and intense sport.
Eating How Your Body Tells You
Although I wrote about a number of different topics, the topic that I hope sticks with myself, as well as the MadFind media insiders, the longest is intuitive eating, particularly, stopping the diet and start the eating. I still stand by the faithful Keto diet, but when it comes to running half marathons and being a true athlete, if the body is telling you to eat more, then you should eat more. This is why I read Mindless Eating and Intuitive Eating and added many more podcasts and books to my lists.
