I have been plugging through the books of the moment and have found the best of the most recently released. I am confident that other people who are similar to my demographic, specifically a 30 something women, will enjoy these choices as well. These are books I have most recently enjoyed and the best fiction books to read this spring.
The Four Winds
This is definitely the book of the moment and there is a big reason why. First, anything Kristin Hannah writes is the best thing on earth. Second, she hit the dust bowl nail on the head. The story grabs you from the beginning and does not let you go until the last page.
Call Me By Your Name
June, during pride month, is the time to read Call Me By Your Name, but just because we have moved on does not mean this book is not worth a read. It’s about a young boy discovering and then acting out his obsession with a man that comes into his life. How quick their passion escalated and then came to an abrupt stop. Although this relationship changed the boy’s life, the man continued his asthough nothing happened and as though he never had a sexual relationship with a boy.
A Slow Fire Burning
A Slow Fire Burning starts with a common murder mystery and unravels a story that makes you keep guessing who did the murder that is good for both the beach and the fireplace. Whether you are in Miami or Portland, Maine, spring time is the perfect time to cuddle up with this book and find out who killed this boy which makes this one of the fiction books to read this spring.
Yes No Maybe So
Spring may not be an election time of year but it is a good time to start thinking about the politics up and coming for the fall. Yes No Maybe So is a love story of young teens centered around politics. It is always a good time to learn about other cultures as well, which this book has plenty on both the Muslim and Jewish cultures.
The Push
While A Slow Fire Burning starts with a murder and suspense from the beginning, The Push will have you guessing why this book belongs in the thriller section. This is the story of a mother who is trying to determine if there is evil in her child. It is not until the last sentence that this book becomes a complete thriller and one of the fiction books to read this spring.
