There is Nothing Better Than a Martini and Trashy Television

If I were to describe my perfect Friday night, it would include my bed, my dog, a dirty martini and a trashy television show. Luckily, there is no shortage of trashy television available for streaming. If you feel the same way, below are just a few of these trashy shows with plenty of episodes to binge on a Friday night that I’ve got into because there is nothing better than a martini and trashy television.

90 Day Fiance Franchise

90 Day Fiancé: A martini and trashy television

90 Day Fiance is my on going guilty pleasure when it comes to trashy television shows. Although I am still watching the most recent Love Island in the US, I do not miss an episode of 90 Day Fiance. Every Sunday and Monday night, it is my ritual to crawl into bed and put on whatever gem is playing that night. If for whatever reason I am busy that night, it is safely being recording to repeat the ritual the following night. And because the franchise is vast with a number of spinoff shows, it keeps going and going. Not an episode missed of any of the shows.

The Real Housewives Franchise

The Real Housewives: A martini and trashy television

The Real Housewives is my throwback trashy television show. This was the trashy show that got me hooked on trashy television to begin with. It is my gateway show. Even though I do not go out of my way to watch any of the franchises anymore, if it is on and I notice it will be playing on my tv and the television channel will stay there.

Unlike 90 Day Fiance, although there is quite the franchise, it seems as though people have the franchises they watch and the ones they do not. Being a California girl myself, I have to go with the OG one, Orange County, and the celebrity filled one, Beverly Hills. But do not get me wrong, I will, and have, rocked the New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, Potomac, and Miami. They all have something different to bring to the watchability table.

Love Island

Love Island: A martini and trashy television

Love Island has become my most recent trash tv obsession. It started in the UK and that is the series I originally got hooked on. When I discovered not only it was now in the US but the new season was starting in a matter of days, I was double in. So far, the UK version still rocks it; however, seeing the previews for the next episode, it is about to get good. Expect to find me, a martini and trashy television later on Thursday this week. And when that is done, hello Australia!

Love is Blind

Love Is Blind: A martini and trashy television

My first thought: who signs up for this crap! Who actually is willing to agree to marry someone without ever seeing them. Well, I do not know, but whoever you may be, thank you for bringing this amazing drama to the people. The general premise of this show is that a group of men and women date through a wall.

As time goes on these people get to know each other through a wall and apparently fall in love. They do not see each other and do not know what the other one looks like. When they fall in love, they then propose to the other person. The first time they see each other, is not until after they get engaged. The couple is followed by cameras all the way up till their wedding day. At that point, they decide if they want to go through with it and marry this person they fell in love with through a wall. It is amazing!
